There were a lot of people who'd wanted invitations to the wedding of a member of the Gordon clan to a member of the Wayne family. They were out of luck; and party-crashers were going to be disappointed too, because there were a lot of off-duty cops acting as security around the church, to discourage any paparazzi (or any criminals who thought they had a reason to be there).
Yellow roses and shiny black ribbons were everywhere, women were actually wearing hats, and no one was so hungover they couldn't function.
Time to find a pew and settle in.
[yay, Barbara and Dick are getting married! If you think you received an invitation, welcome! OCD going up in a second! is up!]
Welcome! Find a seat!
Re: Welcome! Find a seat!
So Jaime was trying not to fidget with his tie as he walked through the doors into the church and pauses, waiting for his eyes to adjust to the light.
Re: Welcome! Find a seat!
If it was hitting him in the pit of the guts he didn't have that he'd be doing this himself in a few weeks, he was doing an excellent job of hiding it.
... In that he was looking maybe a little bit wide-eyed and dazed as he was taking in the decor. That was casual, right? Absolutely.
Re: Welcome! Find a seat!
She just hoped no one thought she was possessed.
Back stage, sorta
They were both quietly freaking out that they didn't just go to the justice of the peace and hold a party later, though.
Helena was stalking around in black, looking ready to hurt anyone who tried to mess this up.
Dinah was in yellow, greeting people and bouncing, in between trying to talk Barbara off the ceiling.
Alfred was looking contented and calm as he handed out programs.
... Jason and Tim were nowhere to be seen. They were probably Up to Something.
[if you want to talk to Dinah or one of the bat-crew before the ceremony, this is the place to do it.]
Re: Back stage, sorta
He was maybe just trying to get noticed ASAP in his swanky yellow suit.
"Ladies!" he greeted -- because bombastic greetings were totally part of sneaking around. "You look amazing! You too, Alfred."
The Ceremony
Barbara looked incredibly gorgeous, as her dad walked her down the aisle in her most high-tech chair.
Dick looked kind of stunned speechless. And happy.
"Dearly beloved..."
[react or gossip here, more to come in a couple hours.]

Re: The Ceremony
"I, Barbara Gordon, take thee, Richard Grayson...."
Commissioner Gordon and Alfred both looked teary-eyed.
In the pews.
Re: In the pews.
He'd probably be over the flailing by the time it was his own turn. Really.
RE: In the pews.
...
And let's be honest, she was also scouring the crowds for the TOTALLY INEVITABLE super-villain who was going to try to ruin this happy day for Ms Barbara. Try.
RECEPTION!
[everything else! Cake, champagne, presents, and speeches from anyone who wants to put something in!]
Re: RECEPTION!
"MRS. AND MR. BARBARA GORDON," Dinah chorused out with her, as Dick and Barbara entered the ballroom. They both looked too happy and preoccupied to register that until the laughter started.
"And that Dick guy!" Jason called out, to more giggling.
Golden champagne was flowing, the music was playing around the tables, and the cake had a a really appropriate and cute topper on it.
OOC
SP is the name of the game! I am around all day and tomorrow, so feel free to show up in whatever thread suits you! There will be no villain attacks, although there are a couple surprises, and if you want a specific non-Dinah person from Gotham, just ping me down here.
