New Gotham, Saturday
"Braaaaaains," Dinah chanted at Gabby. "Huuuuuuungrrrrryyy..."

"You need more blood on your face, hold still," her roomie answered.

The accoutrements of zombification were everywhere around their apartment. As well as the canned goods needed for their entry fee.

Now all they needed was an army.

[ooc: for those going zombie-walking! threads up in a second.]

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"Know what you mean," Priestly said. "And it'll follow you home, even if you try to ignore it."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//Pretty much,// Jono agreed. //I'm not especially keen on finding out what'll happen the day I'm out doing official business and end up turning into a woman in front of some stodgy aristo, but half of them still expect me to be six and a half feet tall and blue. Might as well keep them on their toes.//

That was probably the best mindset he could have, here.

//How've you been?//

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"Not bad. Not leading armies or diplomatic missions -- seriously hardcore, dude -- just getting back into the swing of the school thing. Hoping I won't immediately fail out."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//Is it that difficult getting back into academia? I sometimes wonder if I could do it.//

... Not on Earth, most likely. That had always ended poorly for him, outside of Fandom.

//I'd be more nervous about going back to school than I am about entertaining rich Blood prats, honestly.//

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"Well, there's the fact that I'm doing it in New Gotham," Priestly said. "So, you know, there's the whole supervillain threat going on. Which actually makes it feel more familiar."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//New Gotham does have that sort of 'constant imminent danger' thing going for it, doesn't it?//

Most people wouldn't count this as an upside, Jono.

//You seem to be in one piece so far, though. There's a good sign.//

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"Physically," Priestly said. "I do seem to have acquired a secret identity, though."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//That... happens surprisingly often around people I know,// Jono admitted. //Dare I ask?//

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"It's Tia's fault," Priestly said. "And I've only actually done it once so far. But, uh. I might be a drag performer."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//Ah, so this is going to be a repeat performance?// Please forgive Jono for looking so amused, here. //Sounds like a show that's not to be missed, mate.//

On account of it being Priestly in drag, mostly.

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

"Well, not today," Priestly said.

"I know a place that does drag karaoke on Saturdays," Tia offered.

"Of course you do."

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

//You could be New Gotham's first undead drag show,// Jono chimed in. //I'm certain that would draw a crowd, mate.//

Because Jono would have to go to watch that in a red hot minute. With a camera.

Re: Meet Up at the Cathedral Square Apartment

Dinah popped into the conversation for two seconds to kiss Jono on the cheek. "I tried to convince him! He wouldn't listen to me!"

And then went back over to talk to Momoko and figure out how to carry Camille so she wouldn't wind up escaping into Robinson Park to terrorize the squirrels.
