Re: The party at the Clocktower

Somehow, Sam had made it to 22 without ever seeing Eurovision, so he was kind of transfixed by the screen. He was also gorging himself on food because wow, it was all good and he was still living on a budget no matter how much Peter tried to spend on him.

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"You're heeeere!" Dinah beamed at him and gave him a hug, nibbling on an avocado eggroll herself. "I saw you at the stadium and was so happy!"

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"Of course, I couldn't miss that," Sam said. "I can't believe we're done with school." Well, almost done because Columbia was painfully late with their graduation but still. "Are you proud of yourself like you should be? Because you should be."

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"I'm more amazed than proud right now," Dinah admitted, leaning into him. "Especially with the last couple months sucking with Island stuff and trying to find a job. But I'm hoping my late-to-exam nightmares will actually *stop* now... how much longer before we're doing this for you?"

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"A week and a half. I still have two more finals next week," Sam said miserably. "But then I'll be done forever so... I'm hoping the island doesn't mess with me until June." Sam laughed. "This is a nice distraction."

Re: The party at the Clocktower

Dinah hugged him tight. "Isn't it? Alfred really went all out with the food. And the cake! ... So you're not going to law school any time soon?"

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"I thought about it a lot, and I'm kind of schooled out at the moment," Sam said. "I took my LSAT so all I need to do is apply but... I was actually thinking about going back to the island for a while. I miss Zoe and Grace and... I mean, Dean's not my Dean but still. What are you going to do now?"

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"Awww, that's so cool." Dinah grinned, then sobered, picking up a spring roll. "Enh. Look for a job. I still don't have one. And the rent's paid on the apartment with Gabby through next month, but... she's going to medical school straight on from this. If I can't find a way to pay my part of the rent, I'm moving back in here."

Just like thousands and thousands of other new grads. Depressing.

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"Well, that wouldn't be so bad, would it?" Sam asked. "If nothing else, you know you'd be eating well. I'm not looking forward to the job market, that's for sure."

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"Yeah, I know. I'm lucky to have family that can take me in all the time. It would just kind of feel like ... a step back?" She sighed. "Anyway, I've got resumes out. And another two months to work on it." Leaning against him, she asked, "So, what kind of job are you going to look for? Or do you know yet?"

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"I don't know. I think I'd take anything at this point," Sam said. "I just kind of want to enjoy not being in school, you know? And I know I'm lucky to have family who will be glad to see me. I hear some people talking and I know that's not a luxury everyone has."

Re: The party at the Clocktower

"Yeah. It's not like I *have* to take a barista job to support myself or anything. Although it might be fun," Dinah admitted. "But hey. You're graduating from Columbia, which is waaaay more impressive than Gotham, really."
